MORE ABOUT LEADING AN EVENT

On 9/18/19, students, families, churches, ministries and communities will create a united prayer covering over our K-College campuses in their cities and across the nation- praying for God’s peace, protection and safety for the 2019-2020 school year.

Our story

Pray4safeschools began as a result of the Parkland shooting.  It is a natural response to protect our kids and schools from senseless violence. It is a proactive strategy that is not widely being discussed. It is an added resource to everything that is already being done to prevent school violence.

A prayer texting campaign was launched in August, 2018. In addition to the free daily prayer texts, we are adding a P4SS Day of Prayer to be held yearly on the 3rd Wednesday of September to bring more attention and increase participation to pray for K-College campus safety, student needs and hope in God.

The P4SS Day of Prayer encourages students, parents, teachers, ministries, churches, and community leaders to gather and pray for school safety in their cities. It also encourages volunteers to come alongside their schools to help students succeed.

It is legal

According to Pacific Justice Institute, students can pray and share their faith on campus, take their Bibles to school, start Christian clubs and hold Bible studies on campus. Parents, teachers, and administrators can pray privately on campus; if invited, they can attend a student led prayer event, but cannot lead or organize it.

Power of united prayer

We know that the prayer of agreement multiplies our prayer results.  If two agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. Two can put 10,000 to flight. (Mat 18:19-20, Deut 32:30). 200,000 praying in agreement will accomplish much!

Our goal

Register people to pray for God’ peace, safety and protection for their K-College schools
Mobilize 200,000 people praying for school safety by 2020
Encourage people to unite their city to pray for their safe schools!

How it works

The P4SS Day of Prayer is locally organized by students, churches, ministries and organizations to pray for the K-College schools in their own community. We provide promo kits for Students, Church/Ministry and Community and a simple 8 point prayer guide to assist people in holding their own prayer meetings. These can be stand-alone prayer meetings or included into existing meetings and church services.
